I'm fundraising for a great cause!

As an ophthalmic specialist nurse, I work collaboratively with the Henshaws team based in Manchester royal eye hospital.

Henshaws is a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to go beyond expectations.

They believe that, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Their support, advice and training enable people and their families to build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.

Join me in helping Henshaws offer support, advice and training to enable people and their families to build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.

I’ve accepted this challenge to help change lives. Please make a donation to support my challenge. Thank you so much!

My Updates

Day 2 of my challenge

Sunday 20th Sep
Was accompanied by my gorgeous Swanson today, although ended up carrying him most of the way.

Went around Dunham today really early,  through the village, past the church where I got married and down the old train track.

That’s another 10 to add to my total 😊

I’ve started my challenge

Saturday 19th Sep
Couple of days early, but I’ve started my challenge.

With the sun shining, it was a great start with 12k in the pot.

Don’t know how to download the info, so taken a pic of the I watch figures to prove what I’ve completed so far.

The sun is out to support me

Sunday 13th Sep
🏃🏽‍♀️Training again today, In the beautiful Dunham Massey joined by Lilli Dolittle, talking to all the animals👩🏼‍🌾.

🐌She still wants to be a zoologist and judging by the animals responses I think she will be great🐢.

🌞Sun has put its hat on for us again and we have gone a lot further than normal, which shows the training is paying off. 8 more days till my Henshaws 100’d challenge Begins. 😱

Training day 2

Sunday 6th Sep
Lovely walk around the lanes in Dunham this morning. Managed to see the last few sunflowers in the farmers field, colours looked beautiful against the grey sky.

Start of my training 😐

Sunday 6th Sep
Last year I tore the meniscus in my knee, those of you who worked with me at SHH will remember the crutches 🙄. Since then there has only been small walks and gentle exercises.

Today I managed to get around the main path of Dunham Massey’s parklands without a twinge. 🤩 super pleased!

Please sponsor me for my 100k for Henshaws. 🥰

Thank you to my Sponsors
